Hello once again Berkeley Formula Racing partners, alumni, members, family, and friends. We have some exciting updates for you!
We WON the SoCal Shootout! Contesting against California-based Formula SAE teams, we set the fastest lap times throughout the afternoon time attack rounds to earn 1st place. Our members gained invaluable experience in the heat of competition, addressing problems on the fly and withstanding immense pressure, and are now far better prepared for the real deal Formula SAE competition this May in Michigan.
With the fastest lap of the event by 1.5 seconds to show for our efforts, we are proud of all the hard work we put into preparing for this event. Unique engine tuning, drivetrain gearing, aero configuration, suspension setups, and more were developed with this event specifically in mind. View our fastest lap here. Other teams competing in the ICE class were Cal Poly SLO, SJSU, Cal Pomona, USC, UCLA, UCSD, CSUF, and CSUN.
